Tips to Avoid COVID in 2021

January 11, 2021

Before 2020, New Year’s Resolutions were all about quitting alcohol, achieving more goals, and expanding one’s business. This January in 2021, most New Year resolutions revolve around staying safe from COVID and protecting one’s health. If you think you may have been exposed to someone with COVID or are experiencing symptoms, visit AFC Urgent Care Malden. We offer rapid and PCR tests to all patients.

Differences between 2020 and 2021

2020 is a year that will go down in the world’s history but for all the wrong reasons. Never before had we perceived a time in the very fast-paced world where life would come to a complete standstill and where borders, countries, and nations would shut down.

While 2020 proved no matter what man plans, we cannot fight against fate, it also taught us that no matter what transpires, we have to win the battle against the deadly COVID. Hence, the fear that sent people shuttling indoors, within the safety of their homes for a month, is beginning to dissipate as life returns to a “new normal.”

With social distancing rules in place and armed with masks, gloves, and sanitizers, people are striving to bring the world back to life and the streets to fill with sounds of activities again. The new vaccines have brought a ray of hope as businesses and schools welcome employees and students with precautionary measures in place.

Businesses are now returning to normal, despite the raging coronavirus, in an attempt to recover some of the economic crises 2020 brought upon the nations. With such renewed zeal and motivation, it is also important that while picking up life and business from where we left them, it is important to take precautions that secure us against COVID.

Tips

  1. What better way to stay safe from the virus than getting vaccinated? Pfizer and Moderna have produced vaccines that have clinically proved to be effective against the virus. Once the medical facilities start offering vaccines for the masses, all you have to do is roll up your sleeves and welcome the shot.
  2. Wearing a mask is not merely a piece of cloth across your face but a shield that keeps droplets of infected people from entering your body.
  3. Encourage the careless people around you to wear masks as well; it’s an act of sensibility now.
  4. Don’t wait for others to wear a mask first in a crowd or at your workplace, be the first one to do it so that others follow suit.
  5. Stay at home when it is not necessary to be out. Parties, get together and other gatherings can wait till the threat passes over. No occasion or crowd gathering can be more important than your life and that of your loved ones.
  6. Work on building your immunity. Eat organic and immunity-boosting foods, sleep well, maintain hygiene, and sterilize your home, belongings, clothes, etc., daily.
  7. Work on your mental health. Connect with family and friends through facetime, mediate, and develop healthy activities at home.
  8. Exercise daily
  9. Drink plenty of water.

As businesses and schools open, it is important to remember to maintain a six-foot distance between each other, not hesitate to contact the management if you note disobedience of SOPS and take precautionary measures as you can possibly. Here’s to a safe 2021!
