Sinusitis (Sinus Infection)

"

A sinus infection, or sinusitis, is the inflammation of the sinus tissue. Stuffy nose, runny nose, congestion, and tenderness around the sinuses are common symptoms associate with sinusitis.

Doctors will diagnose with a physical examination. Tests may be done but this is usually not necessary. Doctors can usually tell by applying pressure to the sinus area.

To alleviate any symptoms, use a humidifier and pain relievers. While not necessary, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics.
