If you have traveled for the holidays before then, you know that it can be extremely stressful, exhausting & your hygiene may not do the best. If you are going to more than one place this holiday season or all over the country then having your health suffer while traveling can leave you uncomfortable. Nobody wants to come home to mom & dad feeling unfresh & smelling like the Grinch! We are offering some tips to keep you feeling good & smelling fresh this holiday season!

Wash your face

A lot of us already have good face hygiene but when you are sometimes traveling your face may suffer if you do not maintain your normal skincare routines. Luckily there are travel sized face washes & moisturizers that can fit in your bags & they come in different sizes that could pass the requirements to meet on a plane. When using public transportation, your face can come in contact with some pieces of material that have a lot of bacteria & dust on them. That is why it is essential to take some time out & clear your face. Nobody wants to go home with some redness or irritation on their skin just in time for the holiday pictures!

Wash your hands

Public transportation is not always the most sanitary as we have previously stated. If you are on a bus, then odds are you have come in contact with some community handrails, seats & many other objects. Your hands come in contact with thousands of viruses a day. After you use public transportation, you should always wash your hands & not just for 10 seconds but for at least 30 seconds. If you do not have access to a sink, then bring some portable hand sanitizer with you. Hand sanitizer is a great way to wash your hands on the go! Nobody wants to catch a cold right before the holidays!

Oral & Body Care

If traveling overnight or for most of the day you will want to pack a travel toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, & some dry soap. Just because you are on the go does not mean you won’t have the time to brush your teeth if you are at an airport or bus station. Body odor is also something that you should always be mindful of. When traveling a long distance, the body gets worn down & can start to get unfresh. If you do not have access to a shower, then use the dry soap & deodorant instead. This will leave you feeling & smelling fresh & relaxed.
