Sports are important for people 1 year or older! Sports teach character, teamwork, & dedication, they are also a lot of fun. Unfortunately, sometimes sports require physical contact which may result in an injury. AFC Urgent Care Lyndhurst is here to patch you up & get you back on the field as fast as possible. Below you will read a list of our services that we provide for sports injuries.
Stitches
Cuts & Gashes happen as a result of blunt trauma to the skin. Depending on how bad the cut is, you may require stitches so that you may heal faster. If you are unsure weather you need stitches or not, come in & see one of our physicians. Our Physicians will do the following procedure:
- Clean your wounds
- Measure the wound & check how deep the cut is
- If necessary, our physician will then administer the stitches.
If one of our physicians feels your cut may be too large or life-threatening, then they may refer you to the nearest ER for some more serious treatments.
X-Rays
If you believe you have acquired a break or fracture, we have you covered! AFC Urgent Care Lyndhurst has an X-ray machine on site. Some of the breaks/fractures that we treat are the following:
- Fractures (hairline, Oblique)
- Breaks in minor parts of the body
- Toes
- Fingers
- Feet
- Hands
Recovery time on the breaks/fractures depends on how severe the break is. Our physicians will give you a plan to follow in the weeks/months ahead of you to make sure that you are on the fastest road to recovery!
