There’s Still Time To Get Your Child’s Sports Physical!

Schools in Massachusetts are set to begin this week. This means another season of sports is primed to start again. While many sports teams have already begun training this summer, many teams still need to hold try-outs. This means there’s still time to get your child’s sports physical taken care of this back-to-school season!

At AFC Urgent Care Arlington, we administer sports physicals 7 days a week, all on a walk-in basis. This means no waiting weeks before your child’s primary care physician becomes available. We can get your child’s sports physical out of the way on a same-day basis.

The purpose of sports physicals, or participation physicals, is to ensure each child is healthy enough to participate. Therefore, we at AFC Urgent Care Arlington make sure our physicals are of the highest quality and thorough. Our sports physicals include the following:

  • Review of child’s medical history
  • Examine child’s heart rate, vision, hearing and posture
  • Record your child’s height and weight
  • Monitor child’s lungs, heart, abdomen and ears
