Making a New Year’s resolution can be a daunting task! Thinking about all the hard work it will take to accomplish your goal is sometimes defeating. But don’t worry, we have a few ideas to get you started and off to a great new year!

  • Consistent Exercise.

We all know the importance of regular exercise, but with a full-time job and a family, it is hard to be consistent with your workout routine. Making exercise consistent in your life is a great New Year’s resolution as it will benefit your mind and your body! Finding an exercise that you enjoy is key. Go for a walk, a swim, or try an aerobics class! Try new things until you find what workout is best for you and your body and make that a priority in your life.

  • Keep a gratitude journal.

It is easy to get caught up in the stresses of life and forget to be thankful. Keeping a gratitude journal is the perfect way to remind yourself of your blessings and keep you grounded. As you continue, you may want to write a list a few times a week or even daily!

  • Take a real lunch break!

It can be tempting to work through lunch or even sit at your desk to eat your lunch. Make a resolution this year to take a lunch and desk break! Whether you sit with co-workers during lunch or go on a walk, it is important to take this time to get away from your daily tasks. Being away from your desk will refresh your mind and make you more productive when you return to work after lunch.
