Travelers to third world countries are at greater risk than those who travel to developed countries, but anyone planning overseas travel should check for recommended vaccinations before their departure.
Over 1 million people travel internationally each day. In many countries, vaccine-preventable diseases are still common even though they have been eradicated in North America. For this reason, vaccinations prior to travel are important to ensure the global public health and to help individuals stay healthy during and after their travels.
Travel vaccinations vary widely depending on where you travel.
