Whether you’re a private pilot for small general aviation aircraft or a commercial pilot who flies jumbo jets all around the world, the FAA mandates that you must receive a medical examination in order to determine your health is suitable for flying. Thanks to a recent change in laws, it’s now possible for any state-licensed physician to conduct this exam, provided the examiner follow a simple FAA checklist which can be found online.
