Get Your FAA-Mandated Exam From Our Walk-In Clinic!

Whether you’re a private pilot for small general aviation aircraft or a commercial pilot who flies jumbo jets all around the world, the FAA mandates that you must receive a medical examination in order to determine your health is suitable for flying. Thanks to a recent change in laws, it’s now possible for any state-licensed physician to conduct this exam, provided the examiner follow a simple FAA checklist which can be found online. BasicMed Minimum Requirements

According to FAA regulations, those who wish to operate an aircraft that has a takeoff weight of up to 6,000 pounds and carries no more than six occupants must pass their BasicMed exam. BasicMed clearance restricts you to carrying no more than five passengers and operating your aircraft under extremely specific guidelines. You can’t carry more than five passengers, you must operate your craft within the United States, you may not operate for hire or compensation, and you are required to remain in VFR or IFR conditions, staying below 18,000 feet and at speeds not exceeding 250 knots.
