Do you have a possible fracture? AFC Urgent Care of St. Petersburg with its state-of-the-art technology utilizes Digital X-rays for immediate answers. With Digital X-rays, physicians not only are able diagnose a fracture immediately, but can enhance the image to show you what has occurred. Need to see an orthopaedist? Not a problem; with Digital X-rays we can forward your images to any physician with ease.
Laboratory testing is essential for diagnosing illnesses. At AFC Urgent Care of St. Petersburg, we have a laboratory onsite and are able to conduct testing for, but not limited to, blood work, Sexually Transmitted Disease and Infection testing, rapid strep tests, pregnancy testing, mono testing, urinalysis, and drug screening.
X-rays do use small amounts of radiation, but they’re generally safe for adults and children. That being said, there are some cases where they can be damaging – to developing babies, for instance. Your AFC provider will take your circumstances into account and answer your unique questions about safety.
Your local AFC team can help you answer that question when you contact them. If you’ve experienced a fall or other injury and are in pain, an X-ray could help determine the best course of treatment. They’re also used in a variety of other circumstances.
At AFC, we always strive to get you in and out as quickly as possible, and the X-ray itself should only take around 15 minutes
