Sports are a great way to stay healthy & upkeep the body. AFC Urgent Care Clearwater would like to encourage people of all ages to get outside when you can & try out some sports. Unfountunalty sometimes accidents occur & injuries can be the result of these accidents. Below is a list of the services we provide for sports injuries.
Contact sports or sports that require players to use certain equipment such as Bat, Cleats, Helmet ext, are at risk of bodily harm. If a cut or gash occurs it is important to bring the injures player into our urgent care facility to get evaluated for stitches. Our physicians will go through the following exam:
When working out your muscle when they are not completely warmed up or putting too much strain on your muscles, could result in an injury. If you think you have a mulled muscle put as little pressure on the injured body part as possible until you come into our Urgent Care facility & have one of our physicians look at it. Urgent care is for medical conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate threat to your health or life. Here is a simple rule of thumb: if your medical issues(s) are life threatening, call 911, or go directly to a hospital emergency room. If not, an urgent care center such as AFC is an excellent alternative.
