What We Treat: Acute Injuries

"

It can sometimes be difficult determining whether a sudden injury should be treated at either an urgent care center or an emergency room. People who have suffered life-threatening injuries should always seek treatment at the emergency room. However, many sudden injuries can be treated at an urgent care center. These injuries include:

  • Animal bites
  • Back pain
  • Burns
  • Cuts/Lacerations
  • Insect Bites
  • Muscle sprains
  • Rashes

For sprains and broken bones, our Providers administer x-ray scans for diagnosis. While we can determine whether or not a bone is broken, we cannot provide casting to patients. For those who have suffered sprains, our Providers do provide splints to patients.

Our center serves as a valuable resource to the residents of Essex County, as it offers less waiting time than any Emergency Room. This means the next time you or somebody in your family has suffered an injury playing sports, you can just head over to our facility for treatment, and we’ll get you in-and-out the door as fast as possible.

You can also use our center for sudden injuries in the workplace. Our team has extensive experience working with some of Northern Massachusetts’ top employers in work-related services. We primarily require our patients to pay their standard office copay – as opposed to the expensive Emergency Room copay. Our team also has the knowledge and experience to make workers’ compensation claims as little of a headache as possible.

To take advantage of our services, walk right into our facility any day of the week, as we don’t require our patients to ever schedule an appointment. For more information, call us at 978-470-0800.
