Our doctors are also available for other everyday physicals, such as those needed for school, camp, a sport, or as a pre-employment requirement. Just bring in the needed paperwork, and we’ll fill out all forms after a thorough medical exam. Our walk-in clinic is equipped with a state of the art lab that allows us to process many drug and alcohol screenings in a single visit if required.

Our lab also has many rapid tests available that can provide you with immediate answers if you want to know if you’ve picked up flu or strep throat in the Upper Darby, Drexel Hill, and Springfield area. These serious infections often need medication to prevent you from being contagious and help you feel better quicker. You can rely on our lab if you need accurate, confidential STD testing in the Upper Darby area. Get the answers you need in a compassionate, judgment free environment. Any prescription our doctors write for you can be filled onsite at our urgent care center while you wait or sent to a local pharmacy of your choice. You’ll be sent home with the results of any lab tests and copies can be sent to your primary care doctor upon request.

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • When should I choose urgent care?

If you’re dealing with a pressing, non-life-threatening medical issue and don’t want to see a doctor, urgent care could be for you. AFC walk-in clinics are able to see patients dealing with allergic reactions, broken bones, colds and flus, and much more.

  • Do I need insurance to visit AFC?

Urgent care is for medical conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate threat to your health or life. Here is a simple rule of thumb: if your medical issues(s) are life threatening, call 911, or go directly to a hospital emergency room. If not, an urgent care center such as AFC is an excellent alternative.

  • How long will my visit take?

The main advantage of choosing AFC is our short wait times – often under 15 minutes. The total length of your visit will depend on what you’re being seen for, but many patients can be in and out of our clinics in around 30 minutes.
