Job Description for Medical Doctor at AFC Urgent Care Denver

Position: Full-Time Medical Doctor MD/DO

Overview:

AFC Urgent Care Denver is always seeking passionate and experienced Family Practice or ER physicians who are dedicated to patient care and the practice of medicine. Enjoy the freedom and autonomy of practicing medicine without the burden of managing office systems, billing, and other administrative tasks. Our compensation plan includes a competitive base salary and a robust bonus structure.

Pay Range: $233,000-$376,000, with a competitive bonus structure based on performance, including shift differentials for weekend work. The first 3 months offer 100% of bonus achievement.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver patient-centric, evidence-based care for both adults and pediatric patients.
- Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and lab results.
- Perform bedside procedures, including laceration repairs, I&Ds, foreign body removals, joint injections/aspirations, nail removals, simple reductions, and anesthesia (digital and regional blocks).
- Obtain DOT certification within 3 months and apply to be a Civil Surgeon for Immigration Physicals.
- Manage high patient volume efficiently.
- Respond promptly to lab and imaging results.
- Communicate effectively with clinic supervisors, medical assistants, and technicians.
- Maintain high patient satisfaction and positive social media reviews.

Role as a Lead Physician:

- Serve as a role model for APPs and new physicians, demonstrating clinic and professional excellence.
- Lead the team during shifts, maintaining composure in stressful situations.
- Supervise APPs, providing guidance and answering technical questions.
- Interview potential provider candidates.
- Address and resolve patient complaints with clinic staff.
- Conduct chart audits as scheduled.
- Lead quality-improvement projects and be receptive of new clinic protocols.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and the Board on company changes.

Qualifications:

- Level 2 Workers' Compensation Certified (highly preferred) or willing to get credentialed
- BC/BE MD or DO – Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or all-ages Primary Care with procedural proficiency.
- Current, unrestricted Colorado medical license.
- Unrestricted Colorado DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
- BLS or ACLS certification.
- Experience in ER, urgent care, or fast-paced primary care.

About the Role:

As an X-ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within our fast-paced clinic. - $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Perform X-ray exams as per the physician's orders, ensuring high-quality images.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of X-ray equipment and maintaining image quality standards.
  • Handle the complete process from obtaining images, sending imaging, receiving results, and routing results to the appropriate provider
  • Supports clinicians and staff by carrying out a variety of clinical tasks, including collecting lab tests, patient histories, and vital signs.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately and ensure their comfort during the exam.
  • Protecting patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations regarding radiologic health and safety.
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare providers to provide necessary information and support.
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and documenting examination procedures.

  • Help in maintaining the medical equipment maintenance
  • Additional duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience with EMR systems (Experity preferred)
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting (Preferred)
  • Medical Assistant Diploma required; certification preferred

- $20.00 - $ 22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Greet patients in a professional, warm, friendly manner.
  • Perform patient registration (enter into Experity, verify insurance, collect copays, check outstanding balances, etc).
  • Perform patient discharge.
  • Enter charges, scan charts and ensure patient files and charges are complete and accurate.
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner – forward call or take message as appropriate.
  • Coordinate faxes and referrals with other physicians and employers.
  • Ensure cleanliness of patient waiting area and front office area.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Ability to working independently with excellent patient interaction skills
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient care coordination or medical office administration.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting, (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal communication and patient interaction skills.

Exciting Job Opportunity as a Scribe at a consistently awarded Top Workplace in Denver clinic.
We are always looking for a friendly, energetic, motivated person with medical knowledge as a Scribe for our Urgent Care Clinics.

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • You will be a scribe for many different types of medical providers including MDs, DOs, PAs, and NPs.
  • Tasked with creating an accurate and detailed medical chart in our EMR from start to finish for providers.
  • Fast typing speed. No WPM requirement.
  • Document any medical data as directed by providers.
  • Cross-training and Perform all other duties as assigned by the provider. Perform other clerical tasks that optimize efficiency.

AFC Urgent Care is always looking for qualified laboratory technicians to join our clinics in Denver.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or other Science related field
  • Experience with PCR & pipetting preferred.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and instruments preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented

Responsibilities:

  • Accept the results of calibrators and quality controls.
  • Start an instrument that was not previously running to test patient samples.
  • Test patient samples and report results in a precise and timely manner.
  • Preparing reagents for PCR testing.
  • Extracting patient samples using automated and manual methods.
  • Pipetting patient samples and completing PCR runs.
  • Accession patient information into the Laboratory Information System.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Comply with the standard operating procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
  • Perform QA/QC duties as assigned.
  • Report results to patients, physicians, and the Department of Health.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of workspace and laboratory as needed.
  • Be able to perform all lab assistant responsibilities as needed.
  • Open, sort and label samples for testing.

Job Type:

  • Part Time
  • Pay: Based on experience – $25 - $28 / hour
  • 10-hour shifts
  • Flexible scheduling (must be available one weekend day per week)
  • Shift generally starts at 6:00am
