Beware of Holiday Pains!

Happy holidays to all! As you go around this holiday be careful about what you eat so you do not suffer from indigestion, gastritis and heartburn. All ailments are caused by excessive eating, poor timing of meals and can be easily avoided by pacing (or skipping) some meals.

Common symptoms include pain or pressure in the chest, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and in some cases diarrrhea.

As you make your way to meet family and friends try to minimize foods with excessive citrus or spice, fried foods and alcohol. Increase intake of water, fruits and vegetables.

You can try to improve symptoms by taking over the counter medications like TUMS and peptobismol but if symptoms are severe such as persistent vomiting then go to your nearest Emergency Room.
