What Ages We See, and When to Bring Your Child In

Two questions come first for most parents: whether we can see your child at all, and whether this is something urgent care should handle. Here are both answers.

The Ages We See

We provide pediatric care for children of all ages. For routine childhood vaccinations, we'll usually point you back to your child's regular doctor, though we do keep a limited set of vaccines such as MMR and tetanus. You don't need an appointment or a referral, and your child doesn't need to be an existing patient—just walk in when you need us.

We're not a replacement for your child's regular pediatrician, and we won't pretend to be. We're here to support you during evenings, weekends, or busy days when their office is fully booked or closed. We'll give you a copy of the visit summary so you can share it with your child's regular doctor.

If your child needs a test we don't handle on-site, we'll let you know immediately so we can guide you to the right place as soon as possible.

X-Ray for Children

Our clinic offers digital X-rays on-site for falls, injuries, and chest imaging, using the lowest radiation dose possible to get a clear, usable image.

While we don't do MRI or CT scans, we'll help arrange a referral if your child needs an advanced scan.

Children's Care Cost and Insurance

We bill most insurance. A pediatric urgent care visit is billed as an office visit, so what you pay depends on your plan.

What to Expect When You Bring Your Child In

Knowing what happens at a kids' urgent care visit makes the visit easier for you and your child.

1. Check In

   Walk in or book online. Bring your child's insurance card and a current medication list.

2. Wait With Your Child

   You'll stay together for the visit. Bring something familiar, like a plush toy or blanket, if it helps.

3. The Examination

   A provider will examine your child and explain what they're doing as they go.

4. Any Tests

   If a swab, X-ray, or other test is needed, you can stay with your child, and for X-rays too when it can be done safely.

5. What Happens Next

   Your provider will discuss treatment, prescriptions, what to watch for at home, when to come back, and give you a summary to share with your child's regular doctor.

How to Prepare for Your Child's Visit

• Bring their insurance card and your photo ID
• Provide a list of any medications, including doses
• Have their vaccination record ready, if you have it
• Be prepared to discuss when the symptoms started, and their temperature if you've taken it
• Pack comfort items, like a toy, a book, or a tablet, to keep them calm
• Know your child's regular doctor, so you can share the visit summary with them
