Rest – Find a comfortable location and rest to prevent further strain on your injury.

Ice – Apply an ice pack for 15–20 minutes, reapplying every 3 hours. If you don’t have an ice pack, a bag of frozen vegetables works too.

Compress – Wrap the injured area with an elastic bandage, ensuring it’s snug but not too tight. Watch for signs of restricted blood flow like numbness or discoloration.

Elevate – Keep the injured area above heart level using pillows for proper support while resting in bed or on a sofa.
