All applicants for citizenship, permanent residence, status adjustment, or a green card is required to undergo an immigration physical to determine whether the patient has any underlying or imminent medical conditions that require attention. Receiving these physicals can be difficult as they can only be performed by a Civil Surgeon appointed by the US Citizens and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Luckily, complete immigration physicals are available at AFC Urgent Care West Orange. Our highly qualified and experienced Medical Director, Dr. Browne, is a designated Civil Surgeon and can perform these physicals at extended hours and low-cost.
Our state-of-the-art center is fully equipped to administer any necessary blood tests, vaccines, or digital x-rays needed for a comprehensive and accurate exam. Once the exam is complete, our physician will fill out the I-693 Form needed for submission to USCIS.

How long will the exam take?
AFC offers some of the lowest wait times around, with many patients getting in to see a provider in less than 15 minutes. Your exam will probably take around a half hour.

What happens if my physical reveals I have a medical problem?
We’ll complete your paperwork as required, but if it’s something we can help with we might be able to provide you with treatment on the spot. With in-house labs at many locations, you could be on your way without the need for a second visit.
