Blood pressure screenings are quick tests that measure the force of blood pushing against the artery walls when your heart is pumping.
Blood pressure is measured in two readings:
- Systolic pressure -measures the pressure of the blood when the heart contracts
- Diastolic pressure – measures the pressure between heartbeat
At AFC Urgent Care West Orange, we conduct regular blood pressure tests with every visit to our urgent care center. We administer these blood pressure tests to ensure that you are not at risk-for any heart-health complications during your visit.
