Dr. Lauren brings 20 years of experience in family medicine and urgent care to his position of lead doctor and Medical Director for AFC Urgent Care Stamford. Prior to his role here, Dr. Lauren provided urgent care services to children and adults at the multiple walk-in centers of the Northeast Medical Group/Yale New Haven Health System. Previously he practiced family medicine with Northeast Medical Group/Yale New Haven Health and with St. Vincent’s MultiSpecialty Group. From 1994 through 2009 Dr. Lauren was a family practice physician in Ohio, where he provided services including inpatient care at Genesis HealthCare System’s Bethesda Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center. Dr. Lauren completed his residency in family practice in 1994 at The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine in Columbus, OH following an internship at Doctor’s Hospital of Stark County in Massillon. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude from the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Lauren is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the State Medical Board of Ohio and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He resides in Huntington, CT with his family.
Arianna Bailey, a nationally board-certified family nurse practitioner, has experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, OBGYN and infectious disease. She graduated Cum Laude from Messiah College with a bachelor’s of science in Nursing and a minor in Spanish. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Nursing Practice (Family Nurse Practitioner) degree from Fairfield University. Arianna has been a volunteer nurse at the Macha Hospital in Zambia, Africa and in the Amazon Jungle Community Camp in Pucallpa, Peru.
Margaret A. Romero, a nationally board-certified nurse practitioner, brings more than 25 years of experience in the medical field, beginning as an emergency medical technician to starting up two medical practices in the southwest. She graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a bachelor’s of science in Biology. Her education continued to graduate school, where she attended Columbia University and obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing. Her background also includes taking over an integrative women’s health center in Boulder, CO and a wellness center with two acupuncturists in Santa Fe, NM., being a medical director at Oz Medical and working closely with celebrity nutritionist and anti-aging guru, Oz Garcia, and performing office/house calls for big-name celebrities administering IV vitamin infusions. She can be found in her kitchen happily cooking gluten-free meals, hiking, or practicing yoga.
