Stamford Student Health at AFC Urgent Care

Attention Students in Southwest Connecticut!

AFC Urgent Care Stamford provides convenient and accessible student health services on a walk-in basis – seven days a week! Unlike most college health centers, our center's always staffed with either a board-certified physician or nurse practitioner on hand. We also never require our patients to schedule an appointment, as you can simply walk into our center any day of the week during our extensive business hours for a number of health services, including:

Students around Stamford are fortunate to have a number of local hospitals in their vicinity. However, going to the emergency room isn't necessary for most day-to-day medical conditions. Meanwhile, student health centers don't offer a number of services that an ER or urgent care center does. Fortunately, our Stamford location allows us to serve a number of local colleges and universities, such as:

  • University of Connecticut – Stamford
  • Sacred Heart University
  • University of Bridgeport

If you’re interested in taking advantage of our student health services, visit us anytime during our business hours of 8am to 8pm on weekdays, and 8am to 5pm on weekends. To speak with one of our medical professionals, call us at (203) 969-2000. We look forward to being your go-to destination for all your student health needs!

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • Why choose AFC for Urgent Care?

With state-of-the-art centers and a professional medical team, AFC provides on-site X-rays, labs, procedures, and more!

  • What's the difference between AFC Urgent Care and emergency room services?

Urgent care is for medical conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate threat to your health or life. Here is a simple rule of thumb: if your medical issues(s) are life threatening, call 911, or go directly to a hospital emergency room. If not, an urgent care center such as AFC is an excellent alternative.
