Flu Shots: Everything You Need to Know

The flu vaccine is now available at AFC Urgent Care in Saugus.

According to the Center for Disease Control, everyone over the age of 6 months should get a flu shot. People who are considered “high risk” should receive the vaccine immediately. Those individuals include anyone with a weakened immune system, pregnant women, and children under 5 years of age. Anyone living with or making regular contact with high risk people should also receive the flu vaccine as soon as possible.

Because the flu virus adapts and changes over time it is important to get vaccinated yearly when the newest vaccine is available.
