But if we learn how to just go with the flow and not worry about things we can’t control, then we’re able to better handle the situation. Instead of stressing, try laughing and just move on! Second, take some time to relieve some stress. Does a business meeting have you freaking out or your child’s back-to-school list have you financially stressed? Turn on some music and have a dance party with the kids. Or do something that you love to help take your mind off the thing that is stressing you out. Read a book, take your kids to the park, go on a bike ride at the greenway, etc. These stress-relieving activities will benefit your mind and your body. Finally, learn to be a little selfish. That’s right—selfish. Learn how to say no. Only help people when you truly can. Overloading your plate will just leave you with little time to breathe—but plenty of time to stress.
