That being said, your bones are not indestructible. A single severe impact or big fall can prove to be too much pressure, and your bone can crack or break completely. How Do X-Rays Diagnose Fractures?

Diagnosing a fracture is really important because your main goal should be a full recovery. If you continue to use the wrist or ankle that is in pain, you could be making the injury worse or you could even cause the bone to break completely! If it does heal on its own, you might be dealing with chronic pain.

A digital X-ray takes an image just like a traditional X-ray, except that the image is uploaded onto a computer instead of developed on film. This image is uploaded instantly, and our providers are able to see the image much more closely. It is also a crisper image and can be blown up to provide a better view of the injury in question. If we do notice a fracture, we can discuss treatment options that will support your bone and get you on the road to recovery right away.
