Nashua Immigration Physicals at AFC Urgent Care

Medical examinations are required for all individuals applying for U.S. green cards or citizenship, per the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Only physicians designated as civil surgeons by USCIS are able to complete an immigration physical, and AFC Urgent Care Nashua has the physicians onsite to handle the needs for applicants of all ages.

Immigration physicals usually require two visits. The first visits are for the required lab tests and collecting the available documents and the second visit is for the physical from the civil surgeon. You do not need to take appointment for the first visit, you can just walk in. The second visit (with the civil surgeon) will require appointment in advance and please call us to set that up for you. Based on the exam and test results, more visits or referrals could be required.

Why Do I Need an Immigration Physical?

Unlike a regular physical exam, immigration physicals are used mainly as a screening tool to check whether it is safe to allow a person into the United States. Certain medical conditions may require you to be placed in quarantine until you get better, and other conditions can bar you from admission to the United States, such as communicable serious diseases posing a public health threat.

We offer the following tests and immunizations in Nashua during an immigrant physical, including:

  • Syphilis blood test
  • Flu shot
  • Diptheria vaccine
  • Pertussis vaccine
  • Mumps vaccine
  • Rubella vaccine
  • Gonorrhea urine test
  • Measles vaccine
  • Tetanus vaccine
  • Polio vaccine
  • Hepatitis B vaccines
  • Varicella vaccine

Please bring a valid form of photo ID, and a copy of your vaccination history, as well as a translation of the documents if your vaccination reports are not in English. If you do not have these records, our physicians can perform a blood test to prove you’ve been immunized previously. If you need any additional testing or vaccinations, AFC Urgent Care Nashua can provide blood work, X-rays and vaccinations, for your convenience.

Please call (603) 802-4050 to confirm any requirements with AFC Urgent Care Nashua!
