- Book your Telecare appointment with AFC Spartanburg.Telecare appointment can be conducted with a laptop or smartphone, from the comfort of your home.
- Please do not come to the center for your Telecare appointment.
- Patients must complete Telecare visit with provider who will order test if appropriate.
- We will arrange a time for your COVID test once your Telecare visit has been completed.
- Cost for telecare visits and testing for symptomatic and patients with known exposure covered by most insurances. If you want to be sure, contact your insurer prior to your visit with AFC Urgent Care.
- Covid-19 PCR testing is available at all locations. Typically results are available within 24-72 hours.
- We also provide on-site Rapid Nucleic Acid Amplification (NAAT) Covid-19 testing with results in 15-30 minutes.
- Testing for travel, school and work may not be covered by your insurance.

Why does AFC provide two different COVID tests?
We offer rapid NAAT molecular tests because they provide highly reliable results on the spot. We also offer send-out lab-confirmed RT-PCR tests to satisfy any travel requirements or as a confirmation test for symptomatic patients.

How long does it take to get a COVID test?
RAPID NAAT MOLECULAR TESTS TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES TO RESULT ONCE THE SPECIMEN IS TAKEN. RT-PCR TESTING CAN TAKE 48 -72 HOURS FROM THE TIME THE SPECIMEN IN PICKED UP BY THE LABORATORY. IF YOUR VISIT WITH AFC URGENT CARE IS LATE IN THE DAY, YOUR SPECIMEN MAY NOT BE PICKED UP UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY.

How much does it cost to get a COVID test?
