About AFC Urgent Care Richmond
More About Our Richmond Team
Clinic owners, Sol and Adriano Pangelinan are long-time residents of Richmond and Sugar Land and very active in community and church. As a business couple, they are eager to contribute to the Aliana, Harvest Green, Pecan Grove, New Territory, and surrounding communities. They joined American Family Care as they strongly identify with the AFC Mission Statement:
It is our mission to provide the best healthcare possible, in a kind and caring environment, while respecting the rights of all patients, in an economical manner, at time and location convenient to the patient.
Their core values are to serve and advance Health and Wellness according to their faith for the community. As such, AFC Urgent Care Richmond is pleased to sponsor several non-profit organizations that promote local health and wellness. These include the Aliana Men's Tennis League, the Fort Bend Mountain Bike Association, and Shape Up Fort Bend.
Sol manages the operations of the clinic. She has a Medical Degree from the University of Caraboboa and was a resident Ophthalmological Surgeon in her native country, Venezuela. Adriano Pangelinan is the center's general manager, leveraging several decades of technical, commercial and marketing experience in Oil & Gas. He recently retired from Shell Oil, where he worked for 27 years. Adriano joined Shell after obtaining his doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and serving as a Chemical Officer in the US Army Reserves.
Adriano and Sol have two adult children, Adrian, and Anna (recent Texas A&M grads) and a 10-year-old, Sofia, who attends St. Laurence Catholic School. In his spare time, Adriano is an Avid Mountain and Cross-Country Bike rider and is learning to pilot high-speed drones. He is also very active as a merit badge instructor for the Boy Scouts of America and is a former Assistant Scout Master for Troop 1199. Sol loves to tend to her garden and is very busy with the St. Laurence church as a mission volunteer to provide ophthalmological services to Laredo and Costa Rica.
