Michelle Amacker has been in the healthcare field since 2006. She received her Nurse Practitioner Certification after obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Memphis in 2012. Michelle has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and dreamed of being a pediatrician as a child. Even from a young age she wanted to make the patient experience exceptional, planning to have an ice cream machine in her lobby as her mother always took her out for ice cream after receiving a shot.
Michelle's first experience with AFC Urgent Care was working in a clinic in Denver as a Nurse Practitioner. She had worked at a few other urgent cares around town, but when she began her job at AFC Urgent Care she could immediately tell the difference that was provided in the patient experience. When she found out AFC was a franchise, she decided to follow her dream of owning a practice and opened her first location in Louisville in 2019. Michelle currently owns and operates 4 AFC Urgent Care clinics in Boulder county: Louisville, Boulder, Baseline, and Longmont.
Michelle's favorite thing about operating a business in Boulder county is pouring into her employees and seeing them succeed, as well as creating a culture in which they truly love their job! She knows that when the employees are fulfilled and feel appreciated, that naturally translates into great patient care.
Michelle is married to her husband George and they have a 5-year-old daughter, a 2-year-old son, and another daughter on the way due in March 2024. In her free time, Michelle loves to travel, explore different and new restaurants, and enjoys a daily meditation practice.
