AFC Urgent Care Wichita is proud to announce that it has been awarded accreditation by the Urgent Care Association (UCA), the national organization that sets the standard for quality in urgent care medicine. In addition to full accreditation, the center received special commendations for its Antibiotic Stewardship program and its Occupational Health services.
UCA accreditation is the highest recognition an urgent care center can achieve. It is granted only after a rigorous on-site survey that evaluates every aspect of a center's operations, including patient safety, clinical quality, staff credentialing and training, infection control, emergency preparedness, quality improvement, and patient rights. Earning it confirms that our center meets or exceeds nationally recognized benchmarks for safe, effective, patient-centered care.
The commendation for Antibiotic Stewardship recognizes our commitment to prescribing antibiotics only when they are truly needed, helping protect patients from unnecessary side effects and slowing the spread of antibiotic-resistant infections in our community. The commendation for Occupational Health recognizes the quality of the workplace services we provide to Wichita-area employers, including pre-employment and DOT physicals, drug and alcohol testing, workers' compensation injury care, and return-to-work evaluations.

"Being singled out for antibiotic stewardship is especially meaningful to me, because responsible prescribing is one of the most important things a physician can do for both the patient in front of them and the community as a whole."
Located at 3161 N. Rock Road, Suite A, AFC Urgent Care Wichita provides walk-in care for illness and injury, on-site lab and X-ray, occupational health services, physicals, and vaccinations, seven days a week, with no appointment needed. The practice is led by Dr. Mansoor, a board-certified family physician with 27 years of clinical experience who also serves on the UCA Clinical Advisory Group and Antibiotic Stewardship Committee.
