X-Ray Walk-in Clinic in Narberth, PA
AFC Urgent Care Provides Broken Bone X-Rays and Injury Treatment
Call to see if Xray is available.
You can not merely “walk-off" a minor accident in many cases. Delaying medical treatment could potentially
aggravate an injury, extending the time it will take to heal and giving you a more massive medical bill. If you
suffer an injury today, your primary care provider isn’t likely to have an appointment available for an x-ray of
the injured area. In fact, some provider do not have x-ray facilities at their practice. You do not need to take
an expensive trip to the emergency room for an x-ray. Come to AFC Urgent Care Narberth today and access our
x-ray. No appointment is needed to receive an x-ray and have it read by our experienced staff. We’ll get you in
and out as quick as possible instead of spending an entire day in an emergency room.
When is your x-ray service available?
The x-ray at our Narberth walk-in clinic is staffed by qualified x-ray technicians please call ahead to speak
with the center if X-ray is available the day of. Our provider will use the images from these x-rays to look for
simple or closed fractures. If not treated immediately, the bone will not heal properly, and it could lead to
other medical complications. An open or compound fracture, where the bone has pierced the skin, should be taken
to an emergency room for immediate medical attention.
Should I get an x-ray if I suffer a sprain or a strain?
You should get an x-ray if you suffer a sprain or a strain. When your muscles or ligaments overstretch or tear,
fractures can occur and be hidden behind these injuries. X-rays will confirm the status of your bone so the
proper treatment can be applied, so you don’t reinjure yourself or make it worse. Sprains and strains are common
when people play sports or work out. While uncommon, fractures can occur with these injuries. Sprains, strains,
and fractures can happen when doing strenuous activities at home, like moving things around your basement or
gardening. You can visit AFC Urgent Care Narberth today for immediate treatment.
Can I get an x-ray for a physical or if requested by another provider?
Yes, if you need an x-ray for a physical or if requested by another provider, we can help. Chest x-rays are often
required for immigration physicals, another service we offer at our clinic. Our provider or your regular
providermay ask an x-ray to diagnose severe respiratory issues like pneumonia.
Will I receive a copy of my x-rays?
After our provider review the images with you of your injury, we will send you home with a copy of your x-ray on
a CD. On request, we can also send copies to your primary care provideror a specialist.
