Job Description

Summary: To provide high quality care of all patients. To assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients. Note: A licensed physician is required to be on site during all operating hours.

Reports to: Medical Director/Chief Operating Officer

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Provide high quality patient care.
  • Manage all patient care while on shift.
  • Supervise all staff while on shift
  • Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion
  • Process biological specimens when needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience).

Job Description

Summary: Responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients through collaboration with a designated physician.

Reports to: Medical Director/Chief Operating Officer

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician
  • Collaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with chronic illnesses.
  • Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long- term healthcare issues.
  • Educates patients and/or families about preventive care, positive behaviors, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
  • Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, and/or referrals.
  • Order diagnostic tests as appropriate
  • Prescribe medications within the scope of license
  • Facilitates evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and Quality and Standards according to protocols and receives and implements constructive directives.
  • Promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, self-care skills, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications through education and counseling.
  • Analyzes new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or “hands-on training” and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Regular attendance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in patient flow through patient triage and other nursing duties as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Description

Summary Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and disease. In addition to x-ray tech duties, this position may also serve as medical assistant (additional job description required). .



Essential Duties and Responsibilities X-Ray Tech

  • Greet patient, ensure that the patient has removed all jewelry and metal objects, is wearing the appropriate medical gown and is not pregnant.
  • Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of the body as requested by the physician.
  • Explain procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Utilize both digital and non digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all AFC Urgent Care policies and procedures.
  • Prepare images for reading by physician as well as contact any additional physicians if a second opinion is needed.
  • Aid physician with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures and protocol as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Complete forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Observe safety and security procedures; promote a safe and pleasant work environment.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
  • Regular attendance/timeliness to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Treat people with respect, Inspire trust of others, work with integrity, uphold organizational values.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Adapt to change in work environment, manage competing demands
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred. SCRQSA licensed. Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification or license preferred.

Phycial Demands/Work Environment

  • Standing regularly throughout the shift.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Certified X Ray Technoligist-South Carolina

Experience Requirements

Prefer 1 year Urgent Care experience
