Walk in seven days a week, no appointment or referral needed. Some lab results are ready in minutes, while others take a few days through our outside reference lab. See our lab testing breakdown below to know what you can expect before you come in.

On-Site Tests We Run at AFC

These run in our lab and the result comes back during your visit, usually in about fifteen minutes.

Send-Out Lab Testing

These go to an outside lab. The sample is taken here and results usually come back in a few days.

How Fast Will I Get My Lab Results?

It depends on whether the test runs in our lab or goes out to another one. Here's the split.

You choose at check-in how you'd like results delivered: the patient portal, a phone call, or a text letting you know they're ready.

Lab Testing Cost & Insurance

We bill most insurance. Lab work is usually billed as part of your visit, so what you pay depends on your plan and which tests are run.

If you're paying for yourself, a visit at this clinic starts at $190, and your provider will tell you the cost of any test before it's run.

What to Expect at Your Lab Visit

A lab visit is quicker than most people expect. Here's how it goes.

1. Check In

   Walk in or book online. Bring your doctor's order if you have one.

2. Talk to a Provider

   They'll confirm which tests you need or review the order you brought.

3. Sample Taken

   Usually, a blood draw, a swab, or a urine sample is collected on-site.

4. Results

   Rapid tests come back during your visit, and a provider goes through them with you. Send-out results reach you the way you chose at check-in.

Bringing a Doctor's Order or Lab Requisition

If your doctor has ordered bloodwork, you can bring the order to AFC instead of going to a separate lab. Bring the order or requisition with you, along with your ID and insurance card.

You'll see one of our providers, who will review the order and run the tests that are appropriate here. If a test on the order isn't one we run, we'll tell you at check-in and guide you in the right direction.

How to Prepare for a Lab Test

• Bring your photo ID and your insurance card
• Have your doctor's order or lab requisition ready, if you have one
• Provide a list of any medications you're taking
• If a urine sample may be needed, try not to go to the bathroom for about an hour beforehand

Fasting. Some tests require you to fast beforehand. If you're not sure, call and ask before you come in.
