In-House Rapid Molecular NAAT Testing:
AFC Urgent Care utilizes the Abbott ID Now machine to perform rapid COVID-19 testing with results available in approximately 15 minutes. Abbott’s latest research shows that the rapid test performs nearly as well as lab-based tests and is 94% or more accurate when reporting a positive result and 98% or more accurate when reporting a negative result.
Send-Out Molecular PCR Testing:
For those who wish to have, or are required to have, lab-based testing AFC Urgent utilizes Quest Diagnostics. Because this is a send-out lab, results can take anywhere from 2-5 days to return. For patients with no symptoms, lab-based testing is the most accurate means of testing.

We offer a rapid test because they provide highly reliable results on the spot; however, they do produce more false negatives than the RT-PCR COVID-19 Test. Doing both tests is our way of ensuring that you get the most accurate results possible without having to put your life on hold.
We're able to get many patients in and out in a matter of minutes, but the length of time you'll spend in our clinic will depend on wait times that day.
That will ultimately depend on your insurance coverage. Presently, many people with insurance are able to get tested at no charge. If you’re uninsured, AFC’s cash pay prices are highly competitive – contact your local clinic for the details.
