Official USCIS Physical Exams by Immigration Certified Doctors

Immigration Physicals

Immigrating to the United States is an exciting time for you and your family. However, the process itself can be daunting, tedious, and lengthy. One major element of immigration logistics is a thorough physical exam that ensures you’re healthy enough for citizenship approval. In fact, you can’t get approval without it. Obtaining an immigration physical of your own can be time consuming depending on where you live and the availability of your healthcare provider. That’s why we at AFC Urgent Care are committed to making this step a little easier. Here’s what you need to know about our medical exams for immigration.

Why Receive an Immigration Physical Exam?

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires you to get a full immigration physical exam. This exam is to make sure you don’t have physical issues or mental disorders that may prevent you from being approved. Our physicians understand that USCIC doctors must follow the government’s strict guidelines and procedures for your exams. We are also very familiar with these particular exams, and we know how to complete them quickly and thoroughly. You can rest assured that your forms and report will be done correctly.

What to Expect at Your USCIS Physical Exam

Generally, immigration physicals are very similar to the annual checkups you’re used to receiving from your primary care physician. However, there are some areas where the testing needs to be more thorough. Your doctor will order a chest X-ray and blood tests. Your physical and mental disposition will be assessed through X-rays, blood tests, and diagnostic observation. In addition to your Form I-693, bring your medical and vaccination records for the doctor. If you don’t have proof of your vaccinations, you can request a blood test to prove immunization.

AFC Urgent Care understands that every patient who walks through our doors is going to have different needs for testing. As such, we set out to make our staff and facilities as diverse and accommodating as possible, especially when it comes to immigration physical exams. Not only do we have immigration-certified doctors in our clinic, but we also have the capacity to perform x-rays and blood tests without outsourcing them to other medical centers. This allows us to perform everything you need in-house and turn your results around much faster. Time is of the essence when filing for immigration approval, and we’ll strive to complete the necessary documents in a timely manner.

If you are in need of an immigration physical, visit AFC Urgent Care today. We’ll do our best to get you in and out quickly and to ensure that every detail is accounted for in your paperwork.
