Heart Health: Preventing Heart Attacks

We strive to keep you heart healthy. You do not have to accept heart disease as your fate, even with genetic risk factors. There are always things you can be doing, especially if you are at risk for a heart disease to help prevent heart disease or a heart attack.

Heart Health: Tips to Avoid A Heart Attack and stay “Heart Healthy”:

  • exercise at least 30 minutes per day
  • maintain a heart-healthy diet, while staying away from foods that include saturated fats, such as red meat, saturated fats and deep-fried foods
  • Watch your weight
  • stay away from tobacco products
  • manage stress in a healthy manner
