Flu Prevention

As we enter flu season,  has prevention tips we want you to pay attention to. We offer the flu vaccine, and urge all who qualify, especially those falling into the categories below, to lessen their chances of getting the influenza virus, and to get the flu shot, or for all those needle haters, the flu “mist”. The flu vaccine is recommended especially for:

  • Infants older than 6 months
  • Any healthy adult who would like to decrease their risk of getting the flu
  • Anyone living with or caring for children younger than 5 months of age

Anyone who is at high risk for complications from flu such as people with:

  • Asthma
  • Cancer or cancer treatment
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Diabetes
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Kidney or liver disease
  • Obesity
