If you need to get vaccinated but can’t get in to see your regular doctor, or even if you don’t have a primary care doctor, AFC can help. You can walk right into any of our clinics whenever it’s convenient for you. Or, you can make an appointment if you’d prefer.

What vaccines do you offer at AFC Sparks?
AFC Sparks offers a wide range of vaccines including: flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis), measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox), pneumococcal vaccines, shingles vaccine, and travel vaccines. Do I need an appointment for a vaccine?
No appointment is necessary for most vaccines at AFC Sparks. We welcome walk-ins for immunizations. However, for certain travel vaccines that may need to be ordered, scheduling ahead is recommended. Call ahead to confirm vaccine availability for your specific needs.

Are vaccines covered by insurance?
Most vaccines are covered by insurance as preventive care, often at no cost to you. We accept most major insurance plans. If you're uninsured, our cash pay rates for vaccines are very reasonable. We'll discuss costs before administering any vaccine.

Can my child get multiple vaccines at once?
Yes, it's safe and common for children to receive multiple vaccines at the same visit. This helps keep children on schedule with recommended immunizations and reduces office visits. Our medical team will discuss any concerns about multiple vaccinations.

What should I expect after getting a vaccine?
Most people experience no side effects or mild ones like arm soreness, low-grade fever, or fatigue. These typically resolve within 24-48 hours. Serious side effects are very rare. We recommend waiting 15 minutes after vaccination, and our staff will provide post-vaccination care instructions.
