Here are a few things you can do to prepare for your upcoming immigration physical:
Your initial visit will mostly consist of paperwork and tests. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation for faster care. We’ll review the details of your immigration application and verify that all necessary documents are present. An AFC team member will then collect blood samples for age-specific tests. A crucial piece of your immigration application is the Form I-693, that’s why our providers will document everything on that form.
Key items to bring to your first AFC Orchards visit:
About a week after your initial consultation, you’ll visit AFC for a second appointment with a USCIS-approved doctor, known as a civil surgeon. These are certified individuals who conduct immigration physicals. The civil surgeon will begin by carefully reviewing your medical history. Past health conditions, current medications and prior surgeries may be discussed.
Following the review, there will be an all-inclusive physical exam to assess your overall health (heart, lungs, reflexes, and general well-being). Based on your medical history and the physical evaluation – additional vaccinations, chest X-rays, blood tests or mental health evaluations, may be recommended by the surgeon. After finalizing everything – including any recommended tests for vaccinations – the civil surgeon will complete your Form I-693. The official I-693 will be given to you in a sealed envelope, along with a copy for personal records.

Why choose AFC for Urgent Care?
With state-of-the-art centers and a professional medical team, AFC provides on-site X-rays, labs, procedures, and more!
What's the difference between AFC Urgent Care and emergency room services?
Urgent care is for medical conditions that require prompt attention but do not pose an immediate threat to your health or life. Here is a simple rule of thumb: if your medical issues(s) are life threatening, call 911, or go directly to a hospital emergency room. If not, an urgent care center such as AFC is an excellent alternative.
Don't wait to get the medical attention you need.
