Nothing is worse than feeling sick while you’re away from home. Traveling to foreign countries exposes you to a plethora of bacteria that can leave you feeling sick and could potentially lead you to seek medical attention.
Whether you are traveling for business, pleasure, or study, our goal at AFC Urgent Care Fairfield is to keep you healthy while traveling abroad. Our physicians and medical staff are trained to provide medical information, medications, and immunizations to help prevent travel-related illness or disease.

We recommend that you schedule an appointment 4-6 weeks prior to traveling abroad for all necessary travel medicine and vaccinations. The reason for this is because there are some vaccinations that require multiple doses over an extended period of time.
Students of Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University can receive all of their vaccinations for studying abroad at our convenient location – right down the street from campus! We are located at 1918 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, CT.

What vaccinations do you offer in your clinics?
We offer a wide range of common vaccinations for people of every age. For children six months and up, we can provide regular vaccines against diseases like hepatitis B, and PCV. For adults, we offer flu shots, and tetanus shots, shingles vaccines, and many more. Contact us and let us know which vaccine you need.

How do I know if I need a vaccine?
To discover which vaccinations you've received, look up your vaccination history. Your vaccination record is a comprehensive document that details the history of all of your vaccines as a youngster and as an adult. To access your vaccination record you can ask your family or doctor if they have your up to date report.
