What Is Performed As Part Of Back-To-Work Testing?

COVID-19 return-to-work testing can be done by two tests, including a swab test and a blood test. Results are available within 2-5 days depending on lab capacity and the number of tests required.

Diagnostic swab tests are available for patients who have either experienced symptoms in the previous 14 days or have tested positive for COVID-19 before. Your return to work test must take place at least 14 days after a positive COVID-19 test and you must be symptom-free, including fever, for at least three days.

Antibody testing requires a blood draw and can be performed on asymptomatic patients who have not experienced symptoms in at least 14 days. The test can detect evidence of a past infection through the presence of antibodies, an immune response to the virus. Antibody tests are recommended for individuals who work in businesses with residential functions. Results are typically returned in three days depending on the traffic and capacity of our on-site laboratory.
