John Carmack, MD, MPH, Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
Regional Medical Director
Dr. John Carmack received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1989 and is board-certified with more than 25 years of experience in emergency medicine. A graduate of the Medical Society of Virginia Foundation's inaugural Physician Leadership Institute, the James M. Johnson Physician Leadership Program, and the U.S. Air Force Commanders Development Program and Air War College, he has built his career on both clinical excellence and leadership.
Dr. Carmack served 29 years in the United States Air Force, active duty and reserve, with most of his career spent as a flight surgeon. He deployed four times to the Middle East and retired at the rank of Colonel as the State Air Surgeon for the Florida Air National Guard.
He joined American Family Care in 2019 after a distinguished career in emergency medicine. As Regional Medical Director, he and his team support multiple locations in Virginia and North Carolina, guiding provider teams and ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Dr. Carmack lives by a principle his father, a nurse, shared with him:
"Care for every patient the way you would want your own mother or father cared for—and you'll never go wrong."
This philosophy continues to shape his leadership and the care provided by his teams.
Dr. Dalip Tibb - USCIS Approved Civil Surgeon
Dr. Dalip Tibb has been working as a primary care and urgent care doctor for over 30 years.and completed his residency in Wilmington, Delaware. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and feels honored when a patient puts their trust in his hands. In his spare time he enjoys hiking the beautiful trails around his home in Waxhaw with his family and Monty his dog.
Arianna Moazzami - PA-C
Arianna Moazzami is a certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based medical care. She brings experience from fast-paced urgent care settings, managing acute conditions, interpreting diagnostics, and performing minor procedures for patients of all ages. Her clinical training spans multiple specialties, including emergency medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. Arianna holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, from UNC Charlotte.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her dog, Georgie, and staying active through regular workouts.
Aikhanh Nguyen - PA-C
Aikhanh Nguyen is a certified Physician Assistant dedicated to delivering compassionate and patient-centered medical care. Her clinical background includes experience in fast-paced urgent care and hospital settings, where she has managed acute conditions, assisted in procedures, and provided care for diverse patient populations. Her healthcare journey began as a nursing assistant at Novant Health Hospital in Charlotte, and her subsequent work at an OrthoCarolina urgent care facility solidified her passion for the PA profession.
Aikhanh holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Asheville. Born in Vietnam and a North Carolina resident for over 16 years, she brings a unique perspective to patient care, guided by her belief that "kindness, patience, and persistence can solve even the toughest challenges."
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs and two cats, caring for her collection of tropical plants, and exploring new cultures through travel.
Natasha Williams - Center Administrator
Natasha is a healthcare professional with over 12 years of experience delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. She began her career as a Medical Assistant, working in urgent care, internal medicine, pediatrics, pain management, and specialty practices. This diverse background has equipped her with strong clinical expertise and the adaptability to care for patients of all ages.
With a background in X-ray and diagnostic support, Natasha has experience assisting providers with efficient, high-quality imaging services. Her hands-on clinical experience has given her a deep understanding of both patient care and the operational needs of a fast-paced medical environment.
Now serving as Center Administrator, Natasha oversees daily operations, staff development, workflow efficiency, and compliance standards to ensure exceptional care and a positive patient experience.
Outside of work Natasha is a mother to two boys and three pups. She enjoys all things sports and being competitive. She also, loves her lazy days reading a good book, and a comfy warm blanket.
Mary Catherine Van Buren - Medical Assistant
Mary Catherine Van Buren is a certified Medical Assistant, credentialed by the National Healthcareer Association. She brings a unique background in biomedical engineering and public health to her role, with prior experience supporting the CDC's pandemic response and contributing to pediatric care and neurology research. Mary is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and is pursuing her goal of becoming a medical provider. She loves to go bouldering with her friends, and has recently taken up knitting.
Alexa Jesuele - Medical Assistant
Alexa Jesuele is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Phlebotomist with a background in primary care and clinic coordination. She is committed to creating a calm, respectful environment where patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care. Known for her reliability, strong organizational skills, and steady presence, Alexa helps maintain efficient clinic flow while ensuring each patient interaction remains personal and compassionate.
Alexa takes pride in building genuine connections with patients and contributing to a positive, efficient clinical environment for both patients and staff. Her focus on communication, organization, and teamwork helps promote high-quality care and a strong patient experience.
Kristina Bassarab - Medical Assistant
Kristina is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 13 years of clinical experience and is currently pursuing her nursing degree. She is a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Certified Phlebotomist (CPT), bringing a strong foundation of medical knowledge, hands-on expertise, and compassionate patient care to the urgent care setting. Throughout her career, Kristina has gained extensive experience in gynecology, family medicine, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), cardiology, and hospital-based care. Her diverse background allows her to confidently support providers across a wide range of medical conditions while maintaining efficiency, attention to detail, and a calm presence in fast-paced environments.
Kristina is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She believes that healthcare should always be rooted in empathy and respect, and she treats every patient as if they were a member of her own family. Her goal is to ensure that each individual feels heard, valued, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Clara Ghaly - Medical Assistant
Clara is a Medical Assistant who values creating a calm, supportive experience for every patient. She brings a strong background in cardiology and clinical research, where she developed a solid understanding of patient care, diagnostics, and the importance of accuracy and follow-through in clinical settings. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Known for her attentiveness, reliability, and warm approach, Clara enjoys building genuine connections with patients and helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. She takes pride in supporting her care team while contributing to an efficient and positive clinic experience.
