Welcome to our new AFC TeleCare page!
In an effort to minimize the spread of infection, we are now able to provide you with an opportunity to hold a Telemedicine phone visit with one of our providers. This will allow our providers to facilitate health care without an in-person visit. Telecare is a great way to get the healthcare you need from a qualified medical professional without having to leave the comfort of your home.
By using a telemedicine service for your minor healthcare needs, you save time and reduce the risk of transmitting infection to other patients. For our patients who have mobility issues, telemedicine phone appointments allow you to speak to a physician in real time, with a real diagnosis and treatment plan, without having to physically come to our office for minor issues. For our patients with families and young children, telecare options can allow you to work with one of our physicians without having to bring along your family for a quick checkup.
If you or someone you know needs medical treatment, but do not want to go into the clinic, give us a call to schedule a telecare appointment with a member of our team.
Monday - Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Patients requiring further care will be directed to our clinic or other appropriate health resources, as needed. If, after appropriate screening, we determine that a telecare appointment is not the best option for you, we will advise you of the next steps you may need to take, including coming to our location for an in person visit.
Most insurance companies have agreed to cover the AFC telemedicine visits for the cost of your typical copay. However, it is the responsibility of the patient to ensure that their insurance covers a telecare visit with AFC Short Pump.
