Scarsdale, NY (April 6, 2026) – AFC Urgent Care announces that they are bringing back their “famous” Ted E. Bear clinics.
Children from the community, through their day care centers, nursery school, home school group, or scouting groups are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll to AFC Urgent Care’s Ted E. Bear Fair for evaluation and treatment by the Center’s “teddy bear clinicians”. The fair gives children a chance to familiarize themselves with an Urgent Care environment, as well as with the staff and procedures. Organized by AFC Urgent Care’s Outreach Staff, the trip provides children with a fun activity and valuable information, helping to alleviate any fears they may have of the healthcare environment. Bears and other furry patients received bandage treatments, x-rays and full check-ups. For our scouts we also offer a trip that focuses on “first aid” so the children can qualify for their first aid badge after visiting the center.
