AFC Urgent Care is a walk-in clinic that provides all types of lab work with quick results.
At AFC Urgent Care Doylestown, we have an onsite state of the art laboratory available seven days a week. No appointment is needed to access this lab for a variety of diagnostic tests. Our board-certified doctors use this lab to help them with their diagnoses when you visit our facility. When you come in with an infection or illness, we have several tests available that help us confirm it, further refining our doctor’s diagnosis. In many cases, tests can be processed while you wait, allowing you to leave with the answers you need in a single visit.
Our lab is also available if you need testing done as part of a physical. We can conduct drug and alcohol tests if they are needed as a pre-employment requirement. We will give you a complete report and a copy to hand into your employer. If you are coming in for a DOT Physical, all tests and screenings associated with this physical are processed on-site in our lab.
Some of the tests we can perform at AFC Urgent Care Doylestown at our lab or collect samples to send out for testing include:
- Strep Throat
- The Flu (Influenza)
- Lipid Panel
- Urinalysis - Tests can check for pregnancy, infection and are used for drug screening.
- STDs and STIs - Including Hepatitis Panels.
- CMP – Tests for glucose level, electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, and liver function.
- COVID-19 - PCR, MOLECULAR RAPID AND RAPID ANTIGEN
In some cases, results from lab tests take several days to process to return accurate results. When this occurs, you can expect quick communication from our staff, letting you know your test results are ready. Some tests and screenings do take several hours to process. Please call before you visit our center and talk with our staff about the kind of testing you seek. We want to make sure we can serve you promptly. Note: Some tests may not be available towards the end of the day.

Can I be tested for something not on the list above?
We can draw blood and collect specimens for all types of lab tests. However, those tests will need to be ordered by our provider in order for them to be done through our facility. Please call our clinic first to see if we can assist you in your testing needs.

Can I walk in at any time for a lab test?
We only collect specimens for lab tests that have been ordered by our providers during an office visit or exam. We do not draw blood or collect specimens for tests that have been ordered by another physician, your PCP or specialist. If you have a script from another doctor, please call a commercial laboratory such as LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics.

Can lab results be sent to my primary care provider?
If we can establish a secure connection to your provider, we will send over lab results. All patients will be sent home with a copy, and primary care doctors can also request a copy.
