We offer rapid tests because they provide highly reliable results on the spot; however, they do produce more false negatives than the RT-PCR COVID-19 Test. We recommend taking both tests. Doing so is our way of ensuring that you get the most accurate results possible without having to put your life on hold.

Can I get a false negative?
False negatives can occur and are more likely with rapid tests, especially if you are not showing any symptoms. It can take several days to over a week to develop COVID-19. We recommend taking both of the tests AFC Dale City provides to get accurate results.

My PCR test was negative. Should I still take a PCR test?
Yes, rapid tests are antigen tests. Although they are fast, they are less reliable than PCR tests. We recommend always confirming your result with a PCR rest.
