Staff Physician

Objective: To provide the care of patients. To assist in directing staff in the support of care of patients.

Reports to: Medical Director

Job Description AFC Urgent Care is looking for doctors who enjoy the practice of medicine. We offer doctors the chance to focus on patient care. Issues such as office systems, billing responsibilities, collections, and bill paying are all handled for the doctors. If you are looking for the type of freedom and autonomy of practicing medicine in your own office, but without the heavy administrative burden normally associated with establishing your own practice, AFC Urgent Care may be right for you.

Full-time physicians must be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Part-time physicians must have three years of clinical experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.

Full-time up to 40 hours per week and part-time from 12-24 hour per week. Evening and weekend availability generally are a must as we are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm.

Front Office Specialist

Objective: To provide customer service oriented receptionist services to patients.

Reports to: Center Administrator

Job Description

The candidate will provide administrative support to our back office clinical team & act as the main point person for all front office duties.

A successful candidate must have experience performing the administrative duties associated with a doctor's office, surgical clinic or hospital. Candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • answering the telephone
  • filing duties
  • registering patients on the EMR system
  • verifying insurance eligibility, collecting payments
  • scanning documents
  • keeping daily A/R
  • assisting the medical team in whatever administrative capacity is necessary
  • greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor is the most important responsibility as customer service is our #1 priority!

Must have good written and oral communication skills, great telephone skills, work efficiently and pleasantly while handling multiple demanding tasks. Must also have good computer skills, working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and comfortable using an electronic medical records system (we use DocuTAP and are willing to train you as long as you are open to learning).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience in an administrative or front desk receptionist role, previous experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA
  • Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently

Medical Assistant/Limited Scope X-Ray Technician

Objective: To perform all diagnostic x-rays and assist in the care of patients. Greet and register patients and handle front office administrative tasks.

Reports to: Center Administrator / Physician on Duty

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Perform all diagnostic x-rays
  • Triage and collection patient health history for newly registered patients
  • Direct patients to available examination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complaint or per physician specifications
  • Ensure each room is cleaned after each patient encounter
  • Assist with patient registration, copying insurance cards, verifying co pays, and arranging/scheduling specialty studies per the physician order
  • Restock medical supplies
  • Assist physician with patient care when requested
  • Perform general office cleanup at end of day or end of shift
  • Perform POC (Point of care) diagnostic tests, blood draws, EKG’s, and other tests ordered by the physician

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience post-graduation working as a licensed X-Ray Technologist
  • Possess current State of CO LSRT License
  • Basic understanding of digital x-ray services
  • Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA
  • Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently
