AFC/TeleCare is currently available to residents of Connecticut, from 9
a.m. - 5 p.m., seven days a week!
In an effort to stem the spread of the infection and provide telemedicine services for all health care, AFC Urgent Care, has launched its AFC/TeleCare Service. This call command center will allow physicians to screen patients for possible Coronavirus infection and other urgent illnesses prior to going in person to a medical facility. Telecare will be available from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., seven days a week to the residents of Connecticut.
Patients needing further care will be directed to a local AFC clinic or
other appropriate health care resource as needed.
Almost all health insurance companies, such as Medicare and Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, Medicaid, Husky, Tricare, have agreed to cover the AFC/TeleCare Hotline calls for the cost of a copay. For those patients whose insurance won’t currently cover the screening, they can pay a flat fee of $49.
