Find The Location Nearest Covid-19 Testing
We think you’re located in zip code 98032. Not Right?
Our clinic follows the CDC guidelines for social distancing and sanitization. Plus, we run routine pandemic drills. We know how to care for COVID-19 patients while keeping everyone safe. Seek medical care immediately if you have trouble breathing, blue lips, or feel constant chest pain.
Do you think you need a COVID-19 test? At American Family Care, our primary focus has always been our patients. We want to make sure you have the tests, vaccines, and information you need to best take care of yourself and your loved ones.
At our local AFC Urgent Care Center, we offer rapid testing so that you can get your results quickly. Whether you are experiencing symptoms, getting back from a trip, or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, come into our center to get tested today!
In addition to offering rapid PCT Covid-19 Tests, AFC Urgent Care Southcenter is now offering RT-PCR molecular covid testing for travel. The specimen is sent to the lab and typical results are available within 3 business days. There are some restrictions, and patients must call the clinic for scheduling and timeline pending testing option protocols.
The rapid PCR test will detect a current Covid infection via nasal swab. It’s designed to detect genetic material belonging to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. PCR test results can be processed onsite and are available the same day, which is perfect if you need to travel or get tested quickly.
The RT-PCR test is sometimes referred to as a ‘molecular’ test. Like the rapid PCR, this test is administered via nasal swab; however, it may also be a saliva or throat swab. This test is considered the gold standard of Covid tests and is highly accurate. The sample from this test must be sent to a lab for processing, and results are typically available within three business days
We offer a rapid test because they provide highly reliable results on the spot; however, they do produce more false negatives than the RT-PCR COVID-19 Test. Doing both tests is our way of ensuring that you get the most accurate results possible without having to put your life on hold.
We're able to get many patients in and out in a matter of minutes, but the length of time you'll spend in our clinic will depend on wait times that day.
That will ultimately depend on your insurance coverage. Presently, many people with insurance are able to get tested at no charge. If you’re uninsured, AFC’s cash pay prices are highly competitive – contact us for the details.
