We strive to provide you with the best medical care available, including a comprehensive, on-site laboratory.
We offer a range of diagnostic lab tests IN HOUSE. These results are available within minutes leading to a quick and accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Some of the tests that can be performed in-house include:
- CBC – A complete blood count (CBC) test is used to help evaluate your overall health and a wide range of health conditions, including infections, anemia, and electrolyte imbalances.
- CMP - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) is a blood test often used to evaluate liver and kidney function, as well as blood sugar levels, electrolytes, fluid balances, and other nutrient levels.
- Urinalysis – A urinalysis is a urine test often used to check for urinary tract infections, kidney problems, or diabetes. It can also be used to monitor certain medical conditions and treatments.
- Pregnancy Tests – a urine or blood test to determine pregnancy by checking for hCG hormone produced during pregnancy.
- STD Testing - blood test, urine, and/or genital swab to check for sexually transmitted infections.
- Rapid Tests
At AFC Urgent Care, if your doctor believes that you need other laboratory testing, you will not need to go to a private lab for the collection. Our phlebotomist trained MA’s will collect the specimens needed and our doctors will call you with the results as soon as they are available.

Can I be tested for something not on the list above?
Please call our clinic first to see if we can assist you in your testing needs.

Can I walk in at any time for a lab test?
While no appointment is needed for lab testing, not all lab tests are available throughout the day. We will not administer any lab tests if the results are not available until after we close for the day. If you are arriving in the afternoon for lab testing, please call ahead to check on the availability of the test in question.
