Many providers will use lab testing as a diagnostic tool to help them determine the cause of an illness or a condition. However, many primary care providers do not have labs onsite at their medical practice, making it challenging to schedule or complete these tests. Primary care providers will often send a patient to another facility to collect and test a sample, requiring them to make another appointment. At AFC Urgent Care Ridley, PAtients can access our onsite, state-of-the-art laboratory. No appointment is needed to access our large variety of tests, including flu testing, STD Testing, TB testing, COVID-19 testing, strep throat testing, and alcohol and drug screenings. In many cases, tests can be processed onsite, and you will receive your test results before you leave.
Our walk-in urgent care center is staffed with an experienced team that focuses on providing accurate lab results to our community in Delaware County as fast as possible. Results will come quickly as most lab work is done at our clinic, allowing patients to get the answers they need in the same visit. While no appointment is necessary for lab work, please call ahead before coming to our urgent care center. Drug and alcohol screenings may be unavailable after 5 PM on weekdays and 2 PM on weekends. Some laboratory tests can take several hours to process, limiting their hours of availability.
Our providers and staff will review all test results with you and answer all your questions to ensure you understand the results. Copies of test results will be included in discharge paperwork, and copies can be sent to a primary care physician or specialists upon request.
