Second Danbury Urgent Care Opens
The city of Danbury CT welcomed a second Urgent Care Center last week. Danbury opened its first Danbury walk in urgent care center 2 years ago in March of 2013. Since the opening, It has been so successful, the owners felt it important to open a second location to better serve the Greater Danbury area, as well as Brewster and Pawling, to keep wait times down.
The new Danbury urgent care center is located at 100 Mill Plain Road in Danbury, just bordering the New York towns of Brewster and Pawling, and giving easier access to Connecticut residents in New Fairfield and Ridgefield.
Joined by Mayor Mark Boughton, members of the Danbury and Brewster Chamber of Commerce, Danbury SBDC advisor Nelson Merchan, Danbury Economic Development Bruce Tuomala, owners Tom Kelly and Ron Krippner as well as many supportive community members and the staff, the community joined together April 30 to take part in the Grand Opening and ribbon cutting and festivities.

Continued approach of focussing on efficiency, accessibility, community outreach both online and off has brought a fresh and obviously needed approach to local healthcare. With online services such as email and social media outreach, Danbury Urgent Care Center has been reaching out to the community with real time regional health alerts, seasonal health reminders, and the “Doctors Medical Minute” YouTube video series since the main Street location opened its doors.
As important as reaching out online has been, managing partner Tom Kelly has made a concerted effort to work alongside and involve and hire local contractors, employees, professionals and vendors from the Greater Danbury area and Fairfield County in both the building as well as maintenance phases of the walk in clinics, to create an urgent care center that has the stamp of approval from the city of Danbury.
